Current members can find community by joining the AFCNA group in the International Knowledge Sharing Platform for FCNs.

The members’ area contains information, resources, links to discounted online courses to help you start your role as a Faith Community Nurse (FCN) and maintain a thriving practice. It also has instructions for joining the AFCNA community in the International Knowledge Sharing Platform for FCNs.

Continuing professional development
As a Faith Community Nurses you may practice as autonomous nursing professional. As such you must be self-directed in your professional development to demonstrate evidence of competence as a registered nurse. This involves keeping a Professional Practice Portfolio to show evidence of your contribution to the Nursing profession and your continuing professional development as a nurse.

Members’ courses from the online education hub
Courses start with basic understanding of Health and Pastoral Care Ministry, and Faith Community Nursing. They then move to a more in-depth course Foundations of Faith Community Nursing, which is offered twice each year. Additionally there are multiple courses that will support your personal and professional growth.
